I have recently purchassed the dvd player above.

i was wondering whether there is a hack to enabled me to play all regions. at the moment it only plays region 2/

Yes there is! You need to patch your player with a CD. I do not know where you can get it, but is sais "Nabe the wizard" when you use it in the player. Maybe the nick for the guy who made it?
And on the computer the CD is called "Wiz".
Looked around for it myself really fast and could not find it.

And this might also work if you have the message 'playback restricted':
* switch on the DVD player without disk inside
* press the Setup button on the remote
* choose picture menu
* change PAL to Auto
* switch the player off and on again.
