    Codec Help...

When I try to play a basketball video on DivX, Real Player, and Windows Media, it doesn't work. The audio plays, but not the video. I think I need a codec, but I'm not sure which one. Help would be appreciated. This is what pops up when I try to play it in DivX...

Thanks a lot man. But, which one do I download? There's a lot of them here, and is there a difference between them?

there are only 2 versions, SSE & SSE2. if your CPU supports SSE2, download that one.

              L.T. Columbo,

Could you please link me to where I can get Media Player Classic? I tried download.com, but it's not working.

I did what you said, I installed ffdshow, and did this:

start-->programs-->ffdshow-->vfw codec configuration, click 'decoder' and change h264 from "disabled" to "libavcodec"

But when I tried to play it in DivX, the same pop up came up. Help?!

find media player classic at http://www.google.com

if i'm right in guessing it's an mp4 file, if for some reason you wish to play in wmp or divx player, also download & install haali media splitter.

edit: just saw your post; it's an mp4 file. divx player didn't play it cause it needs a dshow mp4 splitter, and mpc has gabest's built in
