does winDVD echo?

I just got WinDVD 7 Platinum, but I noticed the sound would echo in an annoying way. I looked at my settings and everything was fine: theater settings were off, listening on headphones. But it still echoed. It doesn't change from the headphones to the speakers, and it ONLY happens in dual-layer formatted disks, which i find strange.

Has anyone ever had this problem?

check your sound drivers, they usually contain "environment" settings, so your sound plays as if it's underwater, in a hall, etc. stupid function if you ask me
