    DVD Playback in DVD Players

    I have a DVD recorder, My PC, and Three DVD/VCR Combos in my house. I use DVD Shrink to Make backups of my dvds so the originals won't get ruined. The only problem is playback. I can play them on the computer, and in the recorder, but not on any of the others. It gives me a disk error, and says the playback feature may not be active. What can I do about this? I am using DVD Shrink 3.2, and Nero Ultra 7 for my backups.

    Thanks for any input you might have!

    Welcome to the Forum. Can you post a burn log?

      the windwo that shows it is burning has the following list, and says it is on the phase of writing tracks. when it is done, i will see if it lists any thing else.

      * DVD-video file reallocation started
      * DVD-video file realocation completed (no file modified)
      * DVD-video files sorted
      * Caching file started
      * Caching file completed
      * Burn process started at 16x(22,160 KB/s)

          This is all the history, i guess. I only had one file, and it was all in black so I don't know what is what. I just attached the file. Music cds are working fine, though. Thanks for trying to help, you guys!

                might be about right, if it's a dell then you need to update your firmware for your burner

                E113 should work

                boot into safe mode after removing all disks and extracting the new firmware and upgrade the firmware

                also burn at 8x or slower

                see the sticky's in general computing about dma and freeing up memory
                the dma has to be fixed

                take your time, you attached at least 10 logs not one

                    Thank you for everything!

                    I changed the burn speed after my update, and tried it again. the new copy is working fine so far. It is playing through the previews right now.

                    Thanks again!
