On the Macintosh DVD Player version 4.0 only the overlay of the menu shows (the highlight of the menu buttons). The menu background does not appear. However on other stand-alone DVD players and more recent versions of Apple's DVD Player, the DVD menu plays fine.
Any thought as to what is causing the flawed menu playback when using DVD Player 4.0?
This is a DVD I created in Apple's DVD Studio Pro. I use DVD Studio Pro version 4.1.1. I created an advanced non-layerd menu with a pict file for the background and another pict file for the overlay. The overlay file was white except for the button shapes which are black.
