Playback Confusion!

Hi Everyone! I have a Sony DAV-DX 375 that is driving me nuts. I have DVD's that were made in two different recorders. One will play and the other gives me the dreaded 'Playback Prohibited By Area Limitations". When I look at them with Decrypter they both are region free and no RCE. What gives? How can this be, they both look exactly the same! The odd thing is both play in every player I have except the Sony where one does and one doesnt. They play in my both my computers and a portable. Very confusing. Anyone have any ideas? BTW, I have tried setting Shrink to burn the correct region but when done it still is region free. Man my head is spinning Thanks in advance for all the help.
