windvd error

hello
i have a 64mb kyro2 with tv out & i am running windvd 3 when i try to play some vob files from my hard drive the file will play for a second or 2 then windvd will give an error and have to be closed. this happens on all of the vob files that i have ripped from one of my dvds and on some of the digital tags i downloaded. i tryed power dvd before windvd but it locks the whole computer up after a couple of seconds when playing any dvd or vob file.
Any suggrested fixes would be great

Did you truly "rip" them (using a program such as DVDDecrypter to remove the CSS protection scheme), or merely copy them to your hard drive?

ripped

i ripped them using smart ripper, some vobs will play but they won't but if u put a vob that will play in the play list in from of the ripped ones play it first then try the ripped vobs they paly ok.
not sure what it means
