    M2V, mpv audio

    Hey guys,

I just upgraded to a new computer and my old music video files (Which I know I could play on my old computer) .m2v or .mpv play video but no audio anymore. Do you know what codec I might need and where I can get it?

.m2v file is demuxed MPEG-2 file that contains only the video (no audio). Normally, when you demux a MPEG-2 file, you'll have a video only file with .m2v extension and an audio (.AC3, .WAV) with the same name as the .m2v file. That why when you have those video and audio files in the same folder, you can play only the .m2v file and still can hear the audio.
