Region question

What happens after you have changed your region the alloted number of times on your PC.

I know it states you cannot use even if you reformat or change computers..

Does it mean you need to install a new or different dvd rom or burner?

FYI, the region changes are stored in the burner's firmware, not on the pc. Region free firmware flashed to the burner would be the only option left...

that was going to be my next question but I assumed it had to be a counter or something in the burners software/firmware.

so,
other than region free firmware,
your only other option is a new burner?
