Does anyone on here know where i can get a special scart cable that can convert ntsc to pal from a dvd player to play on a PAL tv? Ive seen one online but cant remember where I think it was actualy for removing macrovision but it would also convert ntsc to pal. As buying a new tv is out of the question for now a quick fix would be welcome. Its realy bugging me so if anyone has any answers it would be of great help

Most players in PAL-land happily play NTSC. You need no special connector.

How recent is your TV? I mean anything in the last 5 years will pay NTSC quite satisfactorily.

its about 10 years old atleast its annoying cuz ive got several ntsc dvds so its annoying watching them in black and white. Its a little odd tho as ntsc videos play in colour. I think it could be the chip i had put in the dvd player years ago. Got a new player comming this week so we shall see if it still does itComment

It should solve the problem. Worst comes to the worst, you can convert to PAL.

yes indeed the new recorder plays ntsc just fine finaly i can watch yank dvds in colour yay lol. Now i have a realy annoying prob i cant get my sky digital to work thru it grrrr!!!!Comment

lol thats the thing i followed the manual to the t. Sorted it now line 3 was set (in the settings) to decoder so i changed it to rgp. The only trouble is now the controller for it to control the sky box is being a git! when it does its test and it and the sky box flashes but it only puts in 0 rather than 101 :s any ideas? Is the controller just so u can use the dvd remote to change channels or does it need it for the epg and series link and all that?Comment
