    Haarj all.

I could so much like to find the TV-series of DAS BOOT (The Submarine) from 1981 on a DVD-set, if im only can get the Directors Cut version then its ok, but the Telly-series was the best series there have been shown on Danish TV ever, so if someone knows where i can get a hold on that, plz send me a PM or anything.

I know this thread hasn't been added to for some time, but, seeing as it's open...

Why is Star Trek - The Original Series not available on DVD? At least, it doesn't seem to be available in the UK. This is in spite of Next Generation, Voyager, DS9 and the Movies all being in circulation.
      Hope this helps.

THX 1138 - a little known george lucas film with far deeper and more interesting undertones than star wars in my opinion (source of the name for george lucas's sound company THX!)

That seems to be a commonly held fallacy, but George Lucas did in fact name the company with THX 1138 in mind, just like he got "skywalker sound" from his star wars films. It's possible that they may have noticed the parallel with the Tomlinson Holman Experiment - but if they were naming it exclusively after that they would have called it THE or HE and not THX. And I seriously doubt that Lucas could possibly have named a movie THX and then a company THX without the parallel at least in mind.

                DUDE... EBAY

I looked on ebay and found ... (when lucas had released the new updated trilogy with new special effects and stuff, HE released all three movies on LASER DISC) I found a guy who sells DVD reproductions of the laser disc copies. MAN it looks GREAT and the menu is cool and the DVD cases are cool. He was selling them out of another country but the process he made them by was surely professional 1:1 ratio of digital image from the laser to DVD.
THE quality is impeccable. I don't have a link for you just search ebay looking for STAR WARS. THey are worth the 60 bucks.
