    Panasonic DMR-E20 Menu missing

I have copied all of my VHS home videos on to DVD using the Panasonic DMR-E20 DVD recorder. I have created menus that point to each video segment on the DVD. I have finalized the DVD on the Panasonic which turns the DVD into a Video DVD. The DVD plays on all DVD set top players and DVD software players.

So, I want to duplicate these DVD's ( to hand out to family members ). I copied the VIDEO_TS file to my PC and used PrimoDVD 2.0 to write the Video_TS file to a new DVD. It works BUT........ The menu does not display on most set top dvd players. It does on some. The Video plays O.K. Just no menu.

Using WinDVD the menu does not display. Using PowerDVD The menu does display.

    Any thoughts ??

    Answer Own Question

    I'll answer my own question.

I used IFOedit and it said that the it needed to recalculate the sectors. I let it do that and reburned the DVD and the menu now works.

I don't know why this worked. My assumption would be that the sectors would be the same between DVD's.
