    video subsystem error

    Hi,

I wonder if someone can help.

I have this error message when trying to play DVD's in PowerDVD - "powerdvd does not support current display mode
    (ddraw Overlay is recomended)"

I tried every setting under the sun but nothing worked, i tried to play with another software player and it said there was a problem with the video subsytem.

I uninstalled PowerDVD, then reinstalled it, no joy. So i phone customer support where i got my puter from. They said i had to reinstall windows ME because i have been playing region 1 DVD's!

So i decided to reinstal the nVidia video drivers from the disc. Whehey it works, the only trouble is i cant upgrade to any of the latest drivers because it just goes back to the same problem. If i cant upgrade my video drivers then im screwed!

    I have geforce 2 MX 400.

Well i think i covered everything

    I appreciate any help,
    Many thanks
