    DVD internal region settings

    Hi!

I just formated my c: and installed XP. This means that I ofcourse made a NTFS file sysytem.

Before the format I applied a new region free firmware for my Pioneer DVD-105. I got it from kickme.to/dvd105s.

It worked just fine but now after the reinstall of windows it says under properties of my DVD player that I have Region 1 player and from the beginning it was a region 2=(.

Can someone please help with my problem, please

The region setting for XP is always set to Region 1 after a fresh installation. So change the default setting to Region 2 if you want — you're allowed one change. If you are using a drive with patched firmware and Region Killer to overcome region protection in your software player, it doesn't matter what XP thinks your region setting is.

Yeah I noticed this just a couple of minutes before I read this.

      But thanks anyway.
