I have just started using DVD Flick. I have gone through the whole process twice now to encode an MPEG-2 file onto a DVD so that it will play in a regular DVD player. Both times it appears as a very narrow tall image on playback. I have checked that the reduced horizontal resolution box is not ticked, and I have tried both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio settings - nothing seems to give me a full-screen image on playback. What am I doing wrong ? (P.S. tried it on 2 DVD players and in PC Media Player - all the same !!) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Doug

Where did the 246 X 576 come from ?? That's my problem !! -
The 576 vertical res makes me thing it's PAL format. It's been awhile since I used Flick. Is there a setting for PAL?
Can you post a screen shot of a frame from the original video?
edit: also it's a good idea to post the video info on the source video. Use MediaInfo freeware.Last edited by MilesAhead; 13 Sep 2013, 11:46 PM.Comment
