Pioneer 106s region free drive question

    Hello,

I have recently purchased a pioneer 106s slot dvd, I would like to to flash it to multi-region. The problem (I think its a problem) is that the fimrware on it is the latest one out. 1.22 (I think). Has anyone successfully flashed a Pioneer 106s with 1.22 firmware with a 1.22 rpc-1 firmware?

Yes, I have and it works fine. When I was flashing it I accidently got the power button pressed, and when saw that it was already too late. My system shut down, but in a split second before everything went black I saw that the flashing had finished correctly. Lucky me.

            thanks but .

i did the update, there was a f with it that means regio free.

buit it is still counting down from 5 to 0 this is the first time.

and when i use an other regio, it asks to change, so it looks like nothing has changed.

or is this normall, that it will work auto. after the 5 times are finished, because then i will re inject the both dvds till the counter is ZERO.

thank you for a answer in advance.

Suggest you read the opening page on that site again, particularly the bit about "PATCHING YOUR DRIVE IS ONLY HALF THE JOB!!!"

i will read it, but thats very strange, because, the version i had before of pioneer, was just patching and thats it no extra thing.

but i will read it, but i think it will have to do some thing with software. but ill check it
