Well, I didn’t believe that it would work ...

Downloaded it - Installed it - WHAM, it works like a charme!
Bought it (The price is a little high, but who else offers this functionality ...) and now I am happy.

Happy, because the DVD Combo in my laptop working with XP Professional is a Matshita UJDA720, and there is NO region free software for it!
I have tried Region 1, 2 and 4 discs so far - Not a single problem! Works with PowerDVD, Mediaplayer Zoom player and WinDVD!

your program crashes when my ACER 10/40 in region 4 mode plays region 4 cd's in ASUS DVD 2000 (some crash straight away, some pixelate terribly first). strangly, it plays region 1 DVD's fine.

DVD Region-Free in conjunction with WinDVD also crashes out when using my Toshiba SD-C2502 DVD-ROM under Win 2000, sp3.

Good idea though, keep up the hard work and get these teething problems fixed

Dont work with Matshita SR-8176 !!!

I bought the software to use it in my IBM T23 laptop with comes with a combo DVD-CDr Matshita SR-8176 RPC2 with firmware LB36 and I have NOT been able to switch DVDs between region 1 and 4. Power DVD XP Rel 4 simply hangs.

Is there any solution to this? I paid $39.99 and the www.dvdidle page says there is no refund possible. What can I do?

if they really demand 40 bucks for a software they dont seem to take responsibility for, im not gonna bother trying it. i find the way they advertised a not at all cheap program in here a bit harsh, too...
