Hello,
I recently bought a Philips dvd recorder. What I beliveved I could do at the time was connect the recorder up to my PC via the usb port or firewire connection on the recorder and transfer any recordings. However these are input (into the recorder) only and not output. After reading the manual(!!) I discovered that the only 'out' port on the recorder is the Scart port. Of course on my pc there's no scart connection. What I want to know is is there such a thing as scart connection for a pc, what are the transfer rates like, what's the quality like, what price would we be talking etc. Or would I be better just burning any recordings to dvd and ripping them on the pc and editing them that way??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
