Hello, this is my first post.
I have a Sony DCR-SR80. If I connect the camera to the computer and copy/paste files directly from the camera's hard drive to my computer it does not retain the time/date stamp when I playback the file on the computer. These videos will potentially be used in court and thus it is absolutely essential that they retain time/date stamp AND that the time/date stamp (and the video) is not edited in anyway.
I have no problem capturing time/date stamp using a Dazzle and DVD Complete when I am making DVDs one at a time. However, the situation I am presented with now is that I need to create a back-up copy of all the videos currently on the camera's hard drive BUT I need to retain the time/date on each video. This limitation prevents me from just doing a massive copy/paste of all the files from the camera to the computer.
Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks
