    Survey! What is the average time to conv. avi-dvd???

    Just curious to see what other peoples conversion times are? Im @ 2 1/2 hrs for 2 hrs of avi to dvd.

      It really depends on your CPU though ... on my old AMD Athlon XP 2500+, it took closer to 4 hours to convert a 2 hour movie.

          the newer versions of flick seem a bit faster, there's no fixed ratio tho, depends upon
          the characteristics of the file being converted

          my mobile xp @3200/400 2.2Ghz 512megs cas2 ram, sometimes gets 1 to 1, usually
          2 1/2 hrs for 2 hrs video

          that's why I almost always use the amd64 @ 2.25Ghz with even faster 512 megs ram
          does some 2 hr vids in 1 1/3 hrs
