DVD Flick creating .m2v output file -- not .vob file

I've used DVD Flick for quite awhile. Typically, I load in an .avi file and convert it to DVD files - you know, with the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders, and then I burn the DVD with Nero. Never had a problem. Recently, I transcoded an .avi file and ended up with an .m2v file in the output folder. I didn't realize this until I tried to drag the folder into Nero and an error message popped up. I tried playing back the .m2v file with my VLC player to see if anything was there. Only image showed up; no sound. I did not have "burn ISO image" checked in DVD Flick, and I put all the settings the way I usually do. How do I get DVD Flick to provide me a burnable DVD set of files?

that's only happened to me once in over a year, it was a bad avi and caused flick to crash at the end if I remember, I might have used convertx, but probably just assumed garbage in(bad avi) garbage out

By the way, DVD Flick did complete the entire .avi conversion for me, I just didn't get what I thought I was looking for for the output. So I tried with another .avi file and got the same result - so I was wondering if I had done something wrong to give the result I got. Is there another freeware program to convert .avi to DVD files?

            Hi Jonny,

If you are running XP or Vista 32-bit then you can use FAVC 1.07.

For FAVC the reason I mentioned Vista 32-bit and NOT 64-bit ... becuase I have Vista Home Prem. SP-1, 64-bit ... and FAVC does NOT work for me.

Another choice is AVI2DVD 0.4.5 beta.

Post back your results please ... if these worked better for you.

            G!
