"This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV out function is enabled."

A few people might 've seen this message. Actually I have a V3 3500 TV/AGP and I got that when I tried to play region 2 movies. All region 1 movies are playlable by PowerDVD 4 on my PC. Someone wrote earlier that V3's are not approved by macrovision. I had to go back to PowerDVD 3 in order to play my region 2 movies, otherwise I had to use smartripper - and play them from hd...
So, is there anyone knowing a way to by-pass that? (don't tell me to buy a new card). A crack maybe???

I have the same problem when I try to play any DVD (I also use Power DVD). I have a Diamond Fire GL 1000 Pro graphics card, but as far as I can see it only has a VGA out port - how do I disable TV out if I don't even have it?

Please help, as this makes my brand new DVD drive totally useless.

I have the same problem with my new DVD ROM. I have a Voodoo 3 3000, and I get the same message when I try to play a DVD using PowerDVD 4. I get the error message about my tv-out not working properly, even tho it's not even turned on. All I want to do is watch a DVD through the PC

      Its hell being a newbie

        PowerDVD

I tried 8 different DVD players, and powerDVD was the worst of all.

I got my system to play a DVD movie using WinDVD 3, which is excellent.

I tried some other free DVD players (FusionDVD etc) and playback with them was sometimes choppy. WinDVD runs perfectly - get it now.

You can try DVDIdle, it's Macrovision-Free feature maybe works.
DVD Region+CSS Free - Remove any DVD copy protection, such as Region, CSS, Sony ARccOS, etc.
DVDFab - DVD copy software, copy DVD to DVDR perfectly!
DVDIdle - Extend lifetime of your DVD drive!

DVD Idle doesn't work to solve the problem

I have a voodoo 3 3000 and am using PowerDVD XP (4.0) and am also experiencing the irritating bloody lack of tv out. Tried dvd idle and it did sod all, so am hoping WinDVD works, i'll let you know in 15 minutes, hopefully then i'll be able to get down to watching my new Buffy Season 4 box set.
