I rented a DVD from local video store. Tried to play on my JVC standalone player connected to my tv\VCR unit . The disc played but the screen went from dark to light at 5 second intervals. I tired another DVD I bought and it worked fine on same DVD player connected to same tv\vcr unit.
Anyway, took the DVD back to video store. Explained problem. He played it on his computer and it displayed fine. Is it possible that he copied a DVD and it plays fine on his computer, but when I tried it my DVD player picked up the macrovision because he didnt burn it right when he tried to bootleg.
Is it possible it is my tv\vcr unit that recgonized the macrovision because my DVD player is plugged into audio video outlets. But why would one dvd player work and not the other. Is it possible one has macrovision and the other does not.
Confused ?
