im having problems lately w/dvds im renting from blockbuster. sometimes in the middle of the movie or when it wants to the picture breaks up and the dvd player will lock up. I have a pioneer DV-525 player and using a RX-2 video stabilizer through a sony vcr. I never had the player serviced or cleaned in the 1 1/2 that I had the player. I never had this problem up until a few months ago. usually we take the dvd back and they will give us another identical dvd and no problems. that is up until last nite when we rented "Dont say a Word". We took the dvd back and the second dvd did the exact same thing and locked up my player. Could that be a macrovision thing or do I need to just get my player serviced? Has anyone else had this problem?
problem w/stand alone dvd player?

RX-2 video stabilizer ?
Hi Luv2wire,
I am curious - you mention an "RX-2 video stabilizer"
defeat the macrovision and region encoding ???
Here is something I wish to do, and it looks like
this thing you mentioned might help me :
My goal is to put DVD onto VHS, because I hate
the way the DVD's play, and most of all the way
they leave those stoooopid bars top and bottom
of my TV set infuriates me !!
I want to get them onto tape, and change that
nasty aspect ratio, but the first step is to get
past the restrictions.
Would you point me to where I might find one of
these RX-2 video stabilizers ??
Thanks !!
