    prblm recording dvd to vcr

I am very much interested in keeping records of movies, but as i recently discovered it is rather impossible to record a dvd movie to a vhs tape.
I guess it's because of this macrovision smth.
How can i permanently solve this problem?
I have read that "hardware" solutions are not very functional (loss of picture or sound quality etc.)
I have also read that with not-connected to PC DVDs the manufacturer solves this problem by "doing smth" to the machine.
Could this operation be done to dvd-roms also?
Is there any software that stops the problem?

Desperate and bored of dealing with miscellaneous problems in the "windows doors".

    dvd to vhs

Hi ! To duplicate from DVD to VHS, try this setup

Connect the antenna cables into the VHS recorder, then to another one if you have it, then to the tv
This will eliminate 40% of the protection

Go by RCA cables from the DVD player to a video processor, then to the VHS recorder

The audio cables can go to an amplifier to improve the quality to guarantee optimum sound recording

If your VHS VCR has inbuilt macrovision protection circuits, use another one as a link in between the two

I'll PM you with some more info shortly
