Ati AIW 7500 Radeon and Macrovision

Hi everybody, __I'm a newbie in these forums, evn if I already lurked a bit. I hope to post this one in the right place. I have a question, and I hope to get some info/help on this. A good frined of mine decided to buy a tv capture card to capture live, and also to backup his collection of movies on VHS. He was interested in a Radeon 7500 AIW, but before everything he was concerned on two things, as here in Italy the card is still quite expensive. 1) most important: Has the card a Macrovision protection system? I mean, if he tries to capture a Macrovision protected movie, will garbage or anything similar be triggered? SOrry if it's not really clear, but I don't really know how Macrovision works in this case. If there's this protection, is there a way to bypass it? 2) How's the card capture quality? I myself have an old MIRO, which I find quite decent, as I'm capturing from old tapes, but of course can't be of help to him as the Radeon obviously must be totally different. All in all, do you recommend him to buy the card, or to choose another one? Please keep in mind the Macrovision thing. I hope you can help me, and sorry for any mistake/misbehave I could have done with this first post.

    Regards to you all!
