    Macrovision or not macrovision

I just bought a GeForcex MX and I'm wondering why I am able to whatch divX (or anything else) movies trough my vcr (without disabling macrovision); but when I try to record it on tape I'm having pink points on the picture and other issues.

    1) Is that macrovision ?

    2) If yes does anyone knows how to remove it (win2k) because tvtool won't work wioth Mx Cards because tghey have internal tv-out chip.

    3) If there isn't any software solution to this issue, does someone know about a cheap hardware solution (cable?)

    Thanks,
    John

What you describe doesn't seem to be Macrovision. You may have problems with video overlay. It may be a hardware problem or simply a software problem. You should try to update your graphic drivers first, then maybe the software you use to play your DVD's with or switch to another one.

I was just playing the divX movie with Ms Media player. But I don't understand why my vcr is sending a perfect signal to the TV when I'm just reading the movie and is not recording the movie well on the video tape...
