    XP BT848 drivers that work?

After just installing XP I'm having trouble finding working drivers for my MM100PCTV card (BT848). The ones I have now display the video displaced to the right, cutting off about 20% at the side- It captures like that too, with a corresponding black bar on the left.
It doesn't stop there- Trying any sort of capture with any codec/uncompressed leads to 50%+ frames dropped.

This was working very nicely under winME so something about XP/drivers is obviously not being cooperative.
    Any ideas anyone?
I have installed/reinstalled with said drivers a few times with the same results in VDub.
Am using 'tweaked' AVerMedia WDM Driver 3.1.28
My original ME set don't want to install.

    Cheers-

I think this is the same modulartech card sold in the uk in pc world under their pcline range? If it is I couldn't get this working properly at all under XP and ended up upgrading my card.

I couldn't find any decent XP driver for this and spent ages searching..

      Cheers-
I eventually found drivers that let me 'capture' and view but not with VDub for some reason... The 'capture' dropped about 5-10 frames a second at 20fps with appaling audio. Not useful.
I downloaded the latest generic bt848 set from www.iulabs.com but found I could watch only composite on only the Dscaler TV software. VDub exited capture mode when I tried composite.
I never managed to sort out any tuner signal...

Oh well- can't afford to upgrade so I'll just be reverting to winME.
      bugger.

For future reference, I have set up a site for getting the Modular Technology MM100PCTV working under Windows 2000 or Windows XP. The guide is here:

Dscaler is not dependent on the cards drivers. Windows being aware of the card alone (It showing the ? in the device manager) is enough for it to work. The program is REALY cool for that. I have been able to get dirt old ATI Rage II+DVD cards to work with it that ATI provides no drivers for at all anymore

That however dosnt do squat for capturing video if you dont have drivers installed. Theres a custom driver out there called BTWinCap or soemthing along thouse lines that works very good on many BT8x8 based capture cards. It lets my cheap-o TV Wonder VE cap at 720x480 (754x480 realy but thats nasty) when ATI says the card caps only at 320x240.

As for the offcenter image problem you had. Unfortinitly I have noticed the BTWinCap driver is slightly off by a few pixles to but nothing drastic.
