avi Files being downloaded with EDonkey

I use Edonkey to download movies

Is it possible to see the file that is being dowloaded?

For instance, i tried to copy the .part (Temp file) in an other folder and to rename this file in .avi, but it doesn't work....
    and VirtualDub can't open it....

    what's the solution?

    Thanks!!!

im pretty sure u cant preview the movie while its downloading..

its diferent for all programs. Kazza, Edonkey, u can view certain avi's when theyre downloadin, some you cant. Not sure.

Mirc, u have to waite for the whole download and DC too.

For your situation, maybe cancel the download and then try and open it within the program.

    Cheers

I think this might be what you're wanting:

"Partview VII-Partview lets you to see the real filenames of all the files in your edonkey temp folder simultaneously. It lists the numbers of the part.met files against the original filenames as well as sizes, bytes transferred, format and part name. It will copy out and rename part files (one at a time) for previewing in a separate folder, when you select a file from the list and click on the "View" button"

Check out this thread about eDonkey on DSLReports - the file is posted there:

Forum discussion: So much has happened with the Donkey I felt it was time to revise the guide. SETTING UP THE DONKEY First off you need to d/l the donkey Get it here: eDonkey Install the donkey, make s

You can preview mpeg files that are being downloaded, but you cant view avi's untill the file is complete.
Why do you think there are so mayne incomplete mpeg files out there?
