Using Quicktime Pro, you could create an uncompressed avi from the qt file. Using the divx 5 encoder you could perform a divx compression for the avi file.

The divx 5 encoder is available at divx.com
You can use virtualdub (virtualdub.org) to compress it to divx. Read the guides at digital-digest.com for more detailed instructions.

Ok. You'd probably have to search for a divx encoder for mac, check out google.com.

This may not be what you want, but on this forum a couple of people have mentioned certain software that enables windows software to be loaded on mac's.

i have this one, but it's slow anyway....

                  i mean it can't depend on my com - i've a g4 with 512 MB-ram and 1 Ghz

i've to admitt that i never really used this prog, so maybe there are options to make it faster, but don't thinks so.
