How do you know you have the most updated codecs? I

Have a bunch, but don't know If I need more. When I play movies off the net on my computer some movies are not that clear, I just wonder if having the most updated codecs matters. Thanks

That has got nothing to do with whether the codec you are using is the latest or not. That would depend on how well done that particular movie has been encoded.

The latest version of DivX 5 is 5.0.2.
The latest version of DivX 3 is 3.11a.
You needn't really care about DivX 4, if you are using 5 (It is an upgrade over 4) already, but just in case, it is 4.12.
