Hi
Please, I need help with my sounds problem. I have couple of old VHS-C tapes recorded with EP speed. The tape played fine until about 1/4 till the end. It's where the audio begin to have problem (like underwater sound) and it get worse till the end.
The video played no problem whatsoever. I tried these tapes on two VCR machines (including the original camcoder which recorded these tapes) and this problem follow the tapes.
I want to convert these tapes to DVD and here are my questions:
1- Can the TBC help with my problem?
2- If I convert my tapes to MPEG-2 format with separate audio & video files. Do you know of any sound editing software that can fix this "underwater sound" problem?
Visually, there are some line marks on tape (not scratches) about 1/2inch to 1 inch apart. It look likes the tapes have been pressed against some kind of guided post inside the tape housing. I don't know much about tapes so I'm not sure if it's related to this "underwater sound" problem.
Thank you very much
Tung
