I've got questions about the DVD-R technology, I'm thinking of buying a writer but I don't know nothing and have question.
1) What about a doublelayered movie? I read on the forum about a maximum capacitity of 4.7 GB. So what's the use if you want to cop your movie of 8 GB on ONE side, double LAYERED if your maximum capacity is 4.7 GB.
2) Can I just decrypt the movie with smartripper and write ALL the files of the DVD to my DVD-R and than play it on my standalone. What's the writing procedure? Do you just have to write like a data CD or you have to respect some rules like the standard procedure of making a VCD?
3) What's the cost of a disc; I've read 5$ but is that for a single layered, double layered or double sided and what does it cost in Western-Europe?
