    Need help with ripping?

    Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could help me,

I have a DVD that I would like to copy, but I am unsure as to whether or not it has any encryption.

I can successfully rip all the contents onto my hard drive and it all plays correctly, but I am not sure if I copy it onto another DVD disc that it will play in all DVD players, so before I try copying on to another disc is there anyway that I can tell whether or not it has any encryption??

    I am using a Pioneer DVR-AO3.

    Thank you in advance

    1) If it plays properly, from your hard drive, using a sofware DVD player, I can think of no reason that a properly burned DVD-R wouldn't play on your DVD player UNLESS your DVD player doesn't support the specific DVD-R format.

    2) Many "regular" DVD players don't recognize DVD-R media.
