I use my comp on a TV, I need a prog to resize viewscreen!

I play my comp on a TV and the view is a lot smaller. The edges of view do not meet with the edge of the TV, actually its about 1inch in! I need a program to resize this view. Anybody know of any program?

Anybody ever hear of a program or something I could do to resize my viewscreen so that I can have the maximum view capability on a screen for television?

My videocard used to do it, but until XP (damn, only problem too...) the view just doesn't fit as well...

Vid Card : Asus V6600 (GeForce based) 32MB [has terrible XP support]

If you can't get drivers that have a built-in utility to tweak the amount of overscan, then you might like to try PowerStrip.
It's a little utility that _should_ work with your card, and will let you fanny around with the modelines a bit like X-windows.

I used it to make an old Matrox card work with an even older Sun workstation monitor. Also of interest is that you can program your own video modes - ever wanted a 768X576 screen res?

      Groovy.

Use TVTool for output on a TV Screen. You can download a free trial version at http://www.tvtool.de

I ask you about your drivers because:

Asus native drivers 29.80 version or above, DO all the job

I have an Asus 6800 video card.

            thanks for the help guys....
            sorry about the late reply....

yea, I used the beta version of my video card - im going back to check the version and all that RIGHT NOW - okay... i got it

            version 14.62a

ASUS V6600 Deluxe Driver for Windows 2000/XP

It doesn't have any tool that can resize the resolution...hell i can't even change the damn resolution on a tv output! I'll use hermanthegerman's advice and try using a different program first off. If it gets too complicating to use ill try a different program. I doubt using a different Asus driver will do ther trick though juan_palermo...but thanks for the advice!

              14.62 version are very old.

First download lastest drivers avaliable at:

              ftp://ftp.asuscom.de/pub/ASUSCOM/TRE...n2KXP_2980.exe

After install it go to :

              Screen settings

              Advanced Options

              Device Selection

When you chose TV as device, will be avaliable options to do corrections.

The problem is solved Juan, I did download those Asus drivers for my own usage, but I was able to find a good working TVTool program. I even found out it has options to enchance the view to make it even more easy on the eyes. Really nice tool.

Does TVtool only work with Nvidia cards?
Also I cannot see the facility in powerstrip to do this.
