    divx5

I'm a novice when it comes to backing up DVD's I have been able to do divx3 without too much trouble but I am having trouble with divx5 my attempts seem abit hit and miss. I'm using Gordion Knott when I do divx5 at the end I have 2 avi files both play ok but one is silent..why is this and how do I stop it. Like I said I'm a novice and don't fully understand. I should add that the back up's that have worked have been great and even compressed onto 1 CD the movies look great.

    Thank You

This is perfectly normal, GKnot encodes the audio and video seperatly, and combine then when it's done. Thus you get an audioless video file, a videoless audio file and an avi files that contains both the audio and the video. The audioless video file is always named *_movie.avi and can be deleted when GKnot is done.
