Computer - to - capture card video feed size

I have a problem that has become a particularly knotty one for me, and I was wondering if someone might know the solution.

What I need to do is shoot an s-video feed from the video card on one computer to the capture card of another computer. I've done this two ways:

    - Direct s-video out of Machine 1's video card to the capture card on Machine 2

    - VGA-out from Machine 1's video card to a scan converter, and then s-video out from the scan converter to the capture card.

In both instances what I wind up with is a cropped capture image on Machine 2. There is a border (black) around the captured image that eats up - by my estimate - about a 1/4 of the captured image size.

I've tried running different resolutions on Machine 1 also, and still wind up with a cropped image on Machine 2.

I can't for the life of me figure out what I am doing wrong, and can't figure out how to get a full image size from Machine 1 to Machine 2. Any help?

    Specs:

    Machine 1

    AMD 1.33, 512 DDR RAM
    MSI GeForce 3 Ti200
    Win2K
    Nvidia 28.32 Comp drivers

    Machine 2

    Intel PIII 900
    768 SDRAM
Pinnacle DV500 and Premier 6.0 used for capturing
    Win2K

    Much thanks in advance!
