Xdiv sound problems

WHo da hell invented this new Xdiv codec, it's nowhere near good old divx. And the problem is i've downloaded we were soldiers which is a dvd rip but when i play it there is no sound the same goes for 40 days and 40 nights so if any1 knows the answer to an of my question ill be glad to hear from u !!

Load the file in virtualdub and post the "file information"

Most likely, you are lacking an audio codec (possibly the ac3 codec).

and it will work with media player after running the batch file. for your respective operating system.

although ,I'v had problem encoding it into .mpg - the sound disappears again when i want to burn this into a vcd. I ve done many many VCD's[B] and this XVID is something new for me.
