help...What codec should be used???

I download a movie (avi) from internet and try to play by Realplayer, but come out a error messenge need a "DX50 codec", so what Codec should be used?? I already intstalled all Divx codec such as 5.0.2 , 4.1.2 , 3.1.1 alpha , Xvid mpeg4 and Sigma Mpeg4 , but still cannot play the damn movie............Thanks for help!!

Try playing it under the Windows Media Player.

If it's not a phony file (there are MANY floating around the Internet), it should play properly with any version of the DivX v.5.0x codec installed...

same problem i need help!!!

i am also having the same problem i ahve downloaded 2 movies from the internet and i have played them in divX media player quicktime and seem to be getting nowhere fast...can anybody hellp me????
