Asus nVidia AGP V7700 Pro 64Mb gfx card problem!

    Hi there,

I have an Asus nVidia AGP-7700 Pro 64Mb gfx card.
Now it sounds pretty good but for some reason I can not get more than 60fps in any games I play.

How do I get the fps up to 100?
I've tried everything within the game.... I set the max fps to 100, I changed the refresh rate in wondows to 100 as well.

I use windows XP and the game I am talking about is Counter Strike.

Does anybody know of any drivers, tweaks, patches I can download to fix the problem?

I am sure I am not getting the true power of gfx card.

    Please help!

    Thx!

You are in the wrong forum. This forum does not deal with games and graphics accelerators. This kind of question should have been posted in one of the more technical-oriented forums, like The Sudhian Forum.

That said, I can suggest a few things:
    1. Upgrade to the latest Detonator driver (every new releases always inexplicably boost performance)
    2. Overclock the card (at your own risk, but worth it if you do it right)
    3. Lower your game resolution (the lower the resolution is, the more fps the card can crunch out)
    4. Check that you have installed the AGP driver for the motherboard (as well as for the graphics card of course)

By the way, what chipset is your card using? And what is your system spec?

Edit: Here is a link to Asus Tweaking Utility 3.64b. Seeing that your card falls under its supported category, it might be of help to you.
