Is there no free mpeg-2 splitting utility? Really?

I'm surprised that there is no free utility that will split my Mpeg-2 variable (DVD) bitrate captured video files into 4 or 5 pieces, if I need it to.

Which I do now....and am unable to find on that actually works.

Doesn't a free program exist for this "simple" function?

that program only appears to work like others that can separate out only single section at a time.....Again, I'm looking for something that will split my Mpeg-2 files into 4, 5 or more pieces at once.

Although I must admit it does the single split-outs well and doesn't corrupt anything in the split-outs that it makes (as some others do for all but the 1st split)and each split-out plays OK....really good. Thank you)

Do you know of one that does multiple splits at one time?
