        Simply click on the DivX Digest link at the top of this page ;>}

          Need help

          I still need help with this movie...I can hear the movie in Windows Media Player and Winamp...however it will not play at all in Divx Player...just gives me an error. So does someone out there think that it's just a corrupt movie...or is there anything at all I can do to resolve this problem.....Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

            1) Load the file into VirtualDub

            2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

            3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

              Use WMP 6.4 or BSPLAYER To playback the movie. Later versions of WMP and winamp have problems with xvid/divx playback.

                  Install the xvid codec. Try BSPLAYER
                  Just go to divx-digest.com/software and you'll find it on the page.. I'd link directly, but most likely you'd be confronted with a "leech" page

                  To access wmp 6.4 type "mplayer2.exe" in the "run" dialog box and hit "enter"

                  BTW is the xvid codec doesn't work you have two options:
                  use FFDSHOW playback filter (www.doom9.org---software section)

                  or change the 4cc codec to Divx 5 (DX50) using the avi4cc changer (divx-digest.com/software)

                  Hope this helps
