    resilience tools

Hey guys i read that divx5.0.2 pro supports resynchronization markers and data partitioning
This means that even in th presence of errors in th bitstream the decoder can still decodes and not crash right?
If someone tried it i would like to know
    Thanks

This will not work in if you use the avi file format to store the divx stream.

You have to use the mp4 file format or ogm. At present the the mp4 file format is of little use, because of the limited player support.

I have played around with damaged ogm files, with resonable success. You can read about it here.

but divx player can read mp4 file format right?
So in theory, ifi corrupt an mp4 file created with divx and try decode with divx player then it should work
I am not familiar with ogm file format can you give any more explanations?
      Thanks for your answer

Yes. But the divx player does not work with aac audio, which afaik is currently the only audio format that can be used with the mp4 fileformat. But if you get something to work, you are welcome to let me know.

afaik error resilienced mpeg-4 streams are independant of the used container format

also there are already some codecs which can write and decode such streams
