    Watermarks - help please.

I would like to "put my mark" on any movies i encode so no movie groups or whatever can steal them... Can someone please tell me how groups like TMD put that permanent "TMD" lettering in the bottom right corner of the screen? Thanks.

You will find the logo filter useful.

I actually have tried using that, but when I tried 2 import a bitmap it said it was not a valid windows image file. I thought maybe it was the wrong type of bitmap or osmething, so I tried the ones that came with the filter thing and they didnt work either.

          1) The color depth MUST be 24 bit (Read the text file that is included with the filter download)

          2) I am not aware of any "samples" included with the filter

A little tweaking and experimenting always yields results, does it not?

yeah but now i have a whole new problem with this... I finally got almost everything to work, I have the bitmap image loaded and I can see it on my movie in preview mode, now how do i actually "burn it" onto my movie?

After loading the video into VirtualDub:

                  1) Set "Video" to "Full Processing Mode" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"

                  2) From the "Edit" dropdown menu, "Select" the portion of the movie that you want to show the logo (The entiree movie, if you wish)

                  3) From the "Video" dropdown menu, select your filter

                  4) From the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Compression" and choose the same codec and settings as the original file

                  5) Save with a new filename

ok do you know is there an option in virtual dub to make the background of my sig transparent so the interference with the video is minimal? (so it looks like the words are just kinda "floating" on top of the video)

When you select the logo filter, one of the setup options is to select which color, if any, you'd like to be transparent...
