burn WAV as a audio CD

In a 74 mins 650MB CD-RW or 80 mins 700MB CD-R, how many minutes of a WAV file I can burn as a audio CD? The tool I used is Nero.

I always get this message : "Could not perform end of Disc At Once" when I burn a 69 mins 760MB WAV into a 74 mins 650MB CD-RW. I have the same situation by burning a CD-R.

    Please help. Thanks a lot.

    Try de-selecting (un-check) the "Disc-at-once" option...

Thanks but it is not working.

Let me tell you the whole story. I save a WAV file from a AVI in Virtualdub and burn it as an audio CD. Then I got the following error message.

      4:52:20PM Caching of files started
      4:52:20PM Caching of files completed
      4:52:20PM Burn process started at 4x (600 KB/s)
5:09:30PM Read error in audio file
      (D:\My vedio projects 2\trip.wav
      5:09:30PM Error reading Audio
      5:10:32PM CRW2100E
      Write error
      5:10:32PM CRW2100E
Could not perform end of Disc At Once
      5:10:33PM Burn process failed at 4x (600 KB/s)

I tried your way to selected "Track at once" instead of "Disc at once". It is also not working.

Then I tried to cut down the size of the WAV file to 50, 30, 20 mins. All of them are not working and getting the same error message.

Eventaully the 10mins 101MB WAV file WORKSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Please help! What is going on? I need to cut down my music movie into many pieces? The size of a CD track can be only 10 mins?

      Please help. Thanks a lot.

Did I select a wrong parameter in general setting for an Audio CD?

        Tempfile strategy
        Reference strategy
        Device dependant strategy
        Diskspace strategy (default)

I did not select anything. The system picks the default.

        Thanks.

          1) Now that you've "told the whole story" - Have you successfully PLAYED the ENTIRE .WAV file before trying to burn it to CD-R?

          2) What version of VirtualDub are you using?

          3) Did you save the .WAV at 48,000Hz? (If so, try converting to 44,100Hz).

Which is likely to be 48KHz, which in turn is not the right sampling rate for an audio CD.

Thank you for everyone. After couple days trying, the problem has been resolved. Once I change the rate to 44100Hz, it works very well. The wav file can be up to 79 mins. Thanks.
