problems converting divx to video cd

Hi

When I try to convert some divx files to video cd files i receive in some point of the encoding: "illiegal floating point calculated" and after this the encoding stops. Why do this happend? is it the file thet is damage, if so, is it possible to repair it??

Hi,

What prog do you use for your encoding - I use TMPGenc and get good results nearly every time - occasionally i need to rip the audio separately but not that often

I also use TMPGE

rip the audio?? does that help?

I have found that by ripping the audio separately and using toolame as an add on I have had no probs - it could also be a corrupt file sadly you may have to d/l the file again.
