    "Time" or PCB displayed in DVD machine

    I have made my own standard VCD. However when I play it in a stand alone DVD machine, the machine only display "PCB" while vedio playing instead of timing. I have seen some commercial movie, someones can display running time in the DVD machine and display "track 1 54:56 each" on the screen when I hit the "menu" key in the DVD remote. However another commercial VCD can display PCB as mine as well (the screen display as "track 1 56:44 PCB").

    The following are steps I made my VCD.

    take vedio by my own vedio camcorder
    load into Pinnacle for editing and generate a edited AVI
    get WAV file by VirtualDub
    make a MP2 file of this WAV by BeSweet
    make a M1V file of the edited AVI by TMPGEnc
    Multiplex:
    go into TMPGEnc again
    select File -> MPEG Tools
    select Simple Multiplex -> MPEG-1 Video CD
    Pick Video and Audio input file, set ouput file name
    then click RUN to make a MPEG-1 file

    All my VCDs are standard CBR 1150kbps formats.

    Please help and let me know how I can display the time when I play my VCD in a stand alone DVD machine.

    Thanks.

    Some (most) dvd players don't write the time of the movie if its in VCD format. You can however check the time by pressing the "Display" button on your remote, and a windows should pop-up with the time of the track you are viewing. Dvd's display the time and the track, which is the chapter that you are viewing; you can however make chapters for your vcd with VCDEasy. The tutorial can be found here
