    Decompressor format mpeg problem in Virtual dub help please !!!

    Howdi all im back,

    Need some help please tried some conversion in virtualdub when trying to load video i get

    Couldnt locate decompressor for format mp42 (Microsoft High Speed MPEG-4 V2


    Virtualdub requires Video for Windows(VFW) compatible codec to decompress window, direct show codecs such as those used by wmp are not suitable.

    I installed etymonix mpeg codec but no luck anyone know where i can get the above codec?

    help please im desperate

      If you're referring to the Microsoft codec I have that one installed,but I don't have the slightest idea where it came from.I think it's included in either Nimo or Tsunami.

          If you can't locate the Microsoft codec, simply use one of the FourCC changer programs to change the codec I.D. to that of the DivX v.3.11 codec (assuming you have the DivX v.3.11 codec installed), which is a compatible hack of the original Microsoft codec...
