    problems with playback in DVD-player

    had some problems lately...

I found a way to create SVCD's with a good quality and subtitles using just TMPGenc and it's great Direct Show plugin...

I wanted to try something with VCD's as well, so I encoded Devil's Advocat (into 2 750Megs op VCD-video)

    Works fine on PC

Then, using VCDEasy, I created a insert second disk part on the first part (added an MPEG still) and created a VCD-Image usiong this same program, later I burned it with Nero 5.5

When I paly the VCD on My PC it works fine, but when I use my Bluesky DVD-player I just can't get it to work...

The second part I burned directly with Nero and that did fine on both PC and DVD-player...

    Anyone,... a solution... please

I already Used VCDEasy to create an image before (SVCD tough) and then burned it with Nero and that worked fine!

I sur would aprecitate some help....

    thanx

I suggest you try recreating the first CD without the MPEG still. If that works fine, than I suspect either your DVD player, or Nero is having a problem with the MPEG still.

You could try burning to VCD format with VCDEasy. I suspect you have tried this but it didn't work...the common fix for burning with VCDEasy is:

CDRDAO relies needs valid/compatable drivers. Open VCDEasy, in the bottom right corner, does it say ASPI seems valid: yes, or ASPI seems valid: no? If it says ASPI seems valid: no, that is your main problem. In that case I suggest you go to: <http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cd...ls/frcaspi.cfm> , download the ForceASPI drivers, install them and reboot. If after you reboot, it shows "ASPI seems valid: yes" then on the CDRDAO settings page, select generic-mmc as the force driver for the CD Writer, select your specific CD Writer in the dropdown menu for that section and check the force execution box. Now you should be able to burn using CDRDAO, which is the CD burning program built in to VCDEasy.
