WinDVD Recorder and DVD+RW

Using WinDVD Recorder to burn directly on a RICOH 5125A with a DVD+RW (TV standard is set on "PAL") and playing this on a SONY NS 405 DVD Player, i always get a black/white picture.
Saving the captured mpeg2-file from the WinDVD Recorder on the hard disk and burning it later with Winoncd 6 DVD Edition, is everythind ok? Any ideas?

how do you get the windvd recorder to record?
I have a sony vaio, 1.6 Ghz, with 256 Ram, 40 G HD.
My writer is USB- pioneer A04.
My capture is Dazzle Hollywood bridge (1834)

I have email intervideo and waiting for reply for 2 days.

I want to transfer my VHS tape to DVD-RW.

I dont see the record submenu in the submenu list, therefore
can not specify the source and the destination.

i am definitely running the recorder version instead of the platinum version.

Help.
